Hop Harvest 2014

Harvested on 9/18/2014.

1 lb 11 oz in total

Mostly Fuggles.  Harvested a week or two later than I should have, 25% of the cones were gone by.  Deer damage this year to a number of the varieties.

Black Magic Dark Mild

5 gallon extract (Northern Brewer)

1 lb English Cara
0.5 lbs Pale Chocolate

3.5 lbs Maris Otter LME
2 lbs Muntons Light DME

1 oz UK First Gold (AA 6.4%) (60 min.)
0.5 oz Kent Goldings (AA 6.47%) (5 min.)
05. oz Kent Goldings (AA 6.47%) Dry hopped in secondary

WLP002 Englis Ale

Pitched: 9/16/14 SG 1.040
Secondary: 9/27/14 SG 1.013
Kegged: 10/8/14 SG 1.013

Notes: I'm really not all that sure about the significance of the style description -- mild, certainly, and thus a perfect on-tap-at-home brew, but the colour is not notably dark compared to, say, a porter.
